      About the QA Manager job

      The purpose of your role will be to lead the quality assurance team, setting standards, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance through each stage of production. You'll deputise for the Technical Manager, overseeing the department in their absence. The QA Manager follows company policies, consistently maintaining high safety and quality standards, and works closely with the operations team to drive continuous improvement.

      Key tasks

      • Support manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production of safe, high-quality products, while driving HACCP and compliance with legal and customer standards.
      • Manage QA tasks, including audits, risk assessments, pest control, non-conformance investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
      • Lead and develop the quality team, promoting a quality assurance culture, and ensuring technical compliance and communication across the business.
      • Oversee lab testing, product validation, and factory production trials, ensuring all processes and documentation are audit-ready and compliant with safety and quality standards.

      About You

      • You shall possess a degree in food science or relevant subject.
      • Experience within a quality role, either junior or supervisor level within food manufacturing.
      • Knowledge and experience with HACCP Level 3.

      The QA Manager job is based in Cambridgeshire and is paying £35,000 according to your experience.

      The package includes 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

      The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 5:00pm (with potential flexibility required for earlier starts or later finishes).
