About the Technical Manager job
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of quality and compliance activities including auditing, quality assessment, surveillance and testing, incident investigation, support at trials and launches, NPD, specification drafting and compliance management with BRCGS plus national retailers.
Key tasks
- Accountable for customer contact regarding complaints, visits, audits, product launches and KPI's.
- Implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety management system including HACCP to the standards required by BRCGS and customer expectations.
- Managing customer complaint investigations including a complaints reduction plan, reporting outcomes and actions to the customer in a timely manner.
- Technical management of new product launches.
- Drafting specifications for supermarket partners.
About You
- Experience in food manufacturing, including customer interface.
- BRC standard, food legislation, ideally Marks and Spencer and Waitrose codes of practice.
- Degree in food related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Ideally HACCP L4 and Food Safety Qualification.

The Technical Manager job (ref 8799) is based in the Plymouth area and is paying up to £65,000 according to your experience. This is a Monday to Friday role, office hours.
This role is commutable from Plymouth, Tavistock, Saltash, Totnes and Salcombe.
