About the Technical Assistant job

The purpose of your role will be to assist in the effective running of the Technical department through product testing, internal auditing, complaint handling and maintenance of documentation.

Key tasks

Ensuring compliance to company standards via internal audits and that corrective actions are completed with appropriate timescales and effectively managed through KPIs.
Ensure product quality meets the requirements of BRC and customer standards through effective sampling, testing and auditing of product and process controls.
Identify and maintain any Health & Safety issues to provide a safe environment which complies with Company rules and legislation.
Assist with recording, investigating and communicating customer complaints to ensure that the response to the customer gives satisfaction and confidence in the company.
Liaising with the Raw Materials & Specifications Technologist and NPD team to help ensure that all internal & external specification systems are kept up to date to ensure legal & customer compliance.

About You

You may be a recent Graduate within Food Science / Technology or similar, or you may have some good food manufacturing technical / quality experience already under you belt – or both.

Other qualifications such as legal food labelling, food safety or HACCP would be ideal but not vital – as would experience of BRC standards.

The Technical Assistant job (Ref 8855) is based in Boston, Lincolnshire and is paying to £28,000 plus welcome bonus according to your experience.
