About the Technical Manager job

The main purpose of your role will be to continue to uphold the company's BRC standard through documentation, auditing, and management.

Key tasks

• Ensure that teams are maintaining correct high quality and meeting customer requirements of specifications and quality attributes.
• Lead and facilitate the introduction of new processes, methods, equipment, and the production of products, both new and existing.
• Take effective action in the event of non-conformances / customer complaints to determine the root cause and reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

About You

You should possess solid experience working in a QA or technical role in food manufacturing. In addition:

• Ideally educated to a degree level in food science, food safety, or a related subject.
• Ideally holder of qualifications including HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
• Experience of working with the BRC standard.
• A driving licence and own transport will be needed due to the sites location.

The Technical Manager job (ref:8887) is paying a competitive and negotiable pro-rated salary, according to your experience. The role is to cover a period of sickness for 6 months.

The site is in North Yorkshire and is commutable from Northallerton, York, Richmond, Scarborough, Harrogate, Pickering and Ripon and surrounding towns. 

The package includes 28 days holiday (pro-rated, including Bank Holidays) and a statutory pension.

The working hours are up to 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday (usually 7.00am to 4.00pm) with Saturdays (usually 6.00am to midday) on a rota basis and then a day off in lieu.
