About the Graduate Technologist job
This multi-functional role within the Technical department involves collaborating with Quality and NPD/R&D to uphold food safety, quality, and legal standards. It supports various departments and acts as a key link between NPD and Quality.
Key tasks
- Liaise with site teams (R&D, NPD, Quality), perform GMP audits for H&S and food safety compliance, and support operational investigations and root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Develop expertise in products, ingredients, and functional properties, conduct QC lab duties (e.g., taste panels, product failure investigations), and assess shelf-life extensions for raw materials and finished products.
- Become proficient in functional software (SAF, SAGE), assist with shelf-life validations, and support technical documentation such as QAS and benchmarking for new product launches.
- Work with the NPD team on sample preparation, production trials, and pre/post-trial meetings; support raw material assessments and harmonisation projects across the group.
About You
- The successful candidate shall possess a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- Have a good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

The Graduate Technologist job (ref:8822) is based in Winsford and is paying £11.44 p/h according to your experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (with flexibility).
The site is in Winsford, Cheshire and is commutable from Congleton, Middlewich, Northwich, Crewe, Nantwich.
